A British Institution!
The sausage roll is the snack of choice for a large proportion of the United Kingdom. They come in all shapes and sizes, there are even rumours that there is a vegetarian version, but this is blasphemy of course!
Which to choose?
For so many years, the British public have had to guess, or use some kind of special sausage sense to choose the purveyor of their pork based snack. As I'm sure you can imagine, this is a much less than ideal situation, with many people ending up with sub-standard sausage rolls, and some being put off for life by these, frankly wrong, shoddy snacks.
Which is where we come in!
We at Ratemyrolls were dissatisfied with the state of affairs in the sausage roll marketplace. We decided to make a stand! We braved the horror of consuming 142.5% of our daily saturated fat allowance (each!) to test out the current offerings from the large high-street stores. To make things as fair as possible, all testing was performed by a dedicated team of 6 roll specialists under office conditions. We checked not only the taste, but the dimensions and price as well, to help you decide where to spend your hard-earned snack-time dollar.
We must stress that these reviews are, by their very nature, personal opinion, and should not be taken as gospel. While we are all VERY good, we're not infallible.
